The Empowering of the Church

(Revelation 1:1-8)

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is , and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Jesus signified by his angel a revelation of himself to John, who was told to write this prophesy, Akeep the written or prophesied things for the time is at hand@. John was instructed by Jesus through the angel of His presence, revealing Himself as the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending. Alpha being the beginning letter of the Greek alphabet and Omega the last letter of the same. He reveals himself as the Lord, the Almighty,the El Shaddai of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This is Jesus revealing Himself as Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). This is The everlasting Father delegating to His children the walk that is before them. They will be as they follow Him, signs and wonders (Isaiah 8:18 and Hebrews 2:13). His government or rule shall not end as it is established in His order with judgement and justice for ever and ever. His zeal will cause it to be (Isaiah 9:7). >For ever= means a designated time and >ever= is an additional time determined by the Lord.

(Revelation 1:9-15)

I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

I was in the Spirit on the Lord=s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

John in revealing himself as our brother and companion in tribulation and in the kingdom of Jesus Christ, was in the isle called Patmos. Early tradition from the writer Tertullian states that John was banished to the isle of Patmos after miraculously surviving the punishment of immersion in burning oil.1 John was in the Spirit on the Lord=s day when the vision came upon him. It began with a great voice, as of a trumpet saying I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. The voice continued with the instructions to write Awhat thou seest@ and send it to the seven churches. John was to reveal what the vision revealed to him. He was beholding the full nature of Jesus that would be revealed by His Church. Since John was beholding the prophetic church, he was hearing all the voices of the living water that would be poured out upon the world loved of God. He was seeing Jesus the head, as the lamb, signified by wool and the eyes of the searching fire as one flame. The garment was identified here, but not the color, which was seen by Daniel as white (Daniel 7:9), representing the righteousness of the saints. The golden girdle about the chest, showing the full authority of priesthood to minister the continuing intercession for sin. The feet represent the judgement (brass) reserved for the saints with the fire of his presence as they walk with Him, being redeemed through a new birth with Him. The Lord will cleanse Zion with the Spirit of Judgment and the Spirit of Burning. The brass feet represent this prophesy of Isaiah 4:4.

(Revelation 1:16-20)

And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter:

The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

John is beholding visual prophecy from his position in the spirit. The angel of the Lord had seven stars in his right hand and a sharp two-edged sword coming from his mouth. The sword which depicts, Athe word of God, is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword.@2 While the stars are the angels of the seven churches revealing the mystery of God. The light of the angels countenance represents the glory of the coming Christ, the hope of the church. This revelation of the church caused John to fall at the angel=s feet as dead. This presence of Jesus as the resurrection also brings us to death. As Paul revealed, Aye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.@3 The angel laid his right hand, which contained the seven angels, upon John and declared, AFear not, I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore.@ This is also the voice of the church speaking in the anointing. We die daily to live daily with Jesus, Athat the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.@4 The keys of hell and of death are held in this anointed presence of the church, the living body of Christ. Jesus had promised to the church, Aand I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.@5 The key of hell, which is AHADES@ in the Greek refers to Athe grave@. This gate of bondage, was opened by Jesus as the gift of eternal life was granted to His body. The key of death represents the anointing protecting the church from the lake of fire, or second death, prepared for the beast and the false prophet and Mystery Babylon, the great mother of harlots and abominations of the earth. The church in partaking of Jesus, the tree of Life, has eaten Athe first resurrection.@6 AThey that eat of this bread shall live forever.@7 And the Asecond death hath no power against them.@8 AWhen thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.@9 But we must be a full partaker, the full twelve loaves of bread must be eaten. In the statement Aye do shew the Lord=s death,@10 the word >shew= [KATAGGELLO] means >to tell thoroughly=. We must fully receive and fully give to fulfill the fruit given to AHe that overcometh@. John whose name as John means >Yahweh is gracious= is truly declaring the prophetic grace of God through revealing Christ in the midst of His church. While we think of prophecy as relating to future events only, we as His church are fulfilling what was spoken or seen, what is spoken (things which are) and the things which shall be hereafter. No where in the revelation of Jesus does the lamb leave the church. And the true church never leaves the lamb. There is only ONE church. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, circumcised nor uncircumcised, neither male nor female. We are all AOne in Christ Jesus.@11 His blood has united us Afor he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.@12 The word >abolish= means >to thoroughly make inactive=. And the >enmity= which relates to the adversary or Satan, is the wall of division in the Lord=s church. Those who don=t see the AONE@ church are still giving place to the adversary! Jesus is the door that the new creation must walk through. AFor in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.@13 AThere is no respect of persons with God.@14 ABut if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.@15 AIt is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man=s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear.@16 To see and be the church we must get our eyes off of the flesh.

The Elect

Many writers have believed that Jesus will remove a Gentile church from the world leaving an elect Jewish seed to be the meek that inherits the earth. They reason that Jesus, after the tribulation of Matthew Chapter 24: When the sun and moon are darkened and the powers of heaven shaken, then the tribes of the earth shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Then his angels shall gather the elect together. The reasoning that the elect are the Jews left after the church is gone is not scriptural. Paul in speaking about the brethren called them AGod=s elect@ in Romans 8:33. And again, even more plainly, ALie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision not uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.@17 Peter said Aelect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.@18 We could use the words of Jesus from Mark 13:20 and 13:27 to prove the same point. The point is that the church will have the honor of putting the enemy under the feet of our Lord, which feet we are. The Lord will remain on the throne till this is done. AFor as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ=s at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.@19 This overcoming of Satan was a foundational doctrine of the early church. ANow I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. For our obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. And the god of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.@20 AThou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.@21 Now we know that the last enemy is death. AForasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.@22 The church with the power of the second death will walk with the Acaptain of their salvation@23 and glorify their everlasting Father. ABut to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?24 The ministering spirits along with the cloud of witnesses compassed about the church, Athe city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect.@25

The Caught Up

The one church of the firstborn, seen by the apostle Paul by revelation when caught up to the third heaven Aabove fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth) How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.@26 Paul=s catching up, some fourteen years earlier was a wonderful, unspeakable experience. He being still earth bound fourteen years later and still in the earth realm of the church, revealed being caught up as a spiritual experience. His Corinthian letters were written several years after the Thessalonica letters which comforted that church with the same good news of the third heaven. The Greek word >AER= which relates to the spirit or breath is misinterpreted by many to mean >sky=, when reading of the >air= in I Thessalonians 4:17. This helped give substance to a carnal doctrine started in the early 1800's called >the rapture=.

The Redemptive Stages of the Church

Paul stated, Awe know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven.@27 AFor we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.@28

The eternal purpose of the church is to come to the adoption. The word >adoption= doesn=t mean that we are an orphan church. The word means >the placing of a mature son=. The Jewish tradition of the bar mitzvah, where the father honors the son by conferring his power or authority to his son, is a close reference to this meaning. As the church individually and universally overcomes the tribulation of our walk toward perfection with Jesus, we are rewarded with the fruit of judgement from the tree of life, which stands in the midst of the seven overcomings of the one church. All that Jesus will do in this world will be accomplished through and by his body, The Church. Only the church has the honor of redemption by demonstrating victory as the many membered body of Christ. There are three levels and seven manifestations of this light of the knowledge of the Glory of God. There are twelve manner of fruit to be acquired by the overcomer. The Church, one with the tree, is judged by the fruit that it bears. The church can only give what it receives. This is symbolized by the twelve loaves of shewbread in the presence of the ever burning lamps of the inner sanctuary.

The candlestick of the pattern given to Moses in the mount, was the seven lamps on one candlestick. (See Illustration I)

The churches will witness in twos, till the fulness of the stature of Christ is obtained. Each crown obtained by the overcomer edifies the whole body. Each star on the crown is a measure of authority won through obedience, as a servant of servants.

The Seven-fold Ministry

The seven-fold ministry has been given to the church to accomplish this: Ahe gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in (into) the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature (age) of the fulness of Christ.@29 The first five ministries brought the church to the time of judgement. At this time of vengeance, God said, Aand I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely (according to pureness) purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin: And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city. Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts (they that return to her) with righteousness. And the destruction (breaking) of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the Lord shall be consumed.@30

As the last two ministries, the judges and the counsellors complete God=s spiritual calling and choosing. The church will come to realize the fullness, or the measure, through the presence of Jesus in his body, the Lamb. The Lord will wash away the filth of the seven daughters of Zion, who are the seven churches, with the spirit of judgement and the spirit of burning. AThe Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.@31

The purpose of the church is to manifest the glory of Christ. Faith without works is dead. ALL ministry is given to form CHRIST IN YOU, which is the hope of the church. Isaiah saw the mountain of the Lord=s house established (or prepared) in the top of the mountains, Aand all nations shall flow into it.@32 The psalmist proclaimed that Awhen the Lord shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.@33 AFor out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations.@34 This judgement will usher in the peace so needed by the world, as Anation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.@34

The Seven Manifestations of the Church in Three Levels of Redemption

The church must complete its purpose. Every level and every measure of light, represented figuratively by the seven churches, will bear fruit. The church, the body of Christ with its many members, all have their part in lifting up the Head. We have lost none of the church. We are alive and well. We only think we can judge the church by history or a carnal reference in man=s time. Jesus said that He is the beginning and the end. He is the starting point and He is the ending point of what He is creating. Our time has nothing to do with it. We compare spiritual with spiritual. As John looked upon the church from the spirit, he was seeing and hearing on a spiritual level. And when he began to write, he was writing of spiritual things. Many natural ears are being tickled by those who compare natural with spiritual, as the carnal mind seeks to soothe itself. We can pick any level or direction of the seven churches with hindsight using a natural level and proclaim carnal times and seasons. Sure there was a Hitler, just as there was a Herod, but they did not measure the church. Wars and rumors of wars do not measure the church. The natural sun and the natural moon do not measure the church. Natural clouds and natural air do not measure the church. AThere is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.@35

The ministry, as a gift which He gave, was to perfect and edify the body of Christ till unity and knowledge brings us to the measure of the age. Jesus has Araised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained (prepared) that we should walk in them.@36

As evil has waxed worse and worse, His grace is sufficient for the evil of the day. It doesn=t take a math expert to rationalize that if evil is increasing, grace being sufficient will increase also. The early church had discovered great grace through unity. AAnd with power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.@37

The church is approaching the fulness of the age or the flowering of the church. The first fruits are coming forth. AAnd these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.@38 The thirty, sixty and hundred fold represents the three redemptive stages of the church. The church shown to John in the revelation matches God=s prophetic pattern. The foundation of the church is Jesus, for He is the beginning of the new creation which is the subject of the Aunveiling@ as seen by John. The church must be measured according to the pattern established by God, while fulfilling the purpose of God. The candlestick is not a step ladder of time, measured by calendars. It is the Body of Christ, the righteous Ecclesia of the living God. The beautiful church patterned by the candlestick was first revealed to Moses in the wilderness. It represents the light of the increasing glory of our Lord. It reveals Athe path of the just as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.@39 A day in the Lord is a measure of light, not a measure of time. If we would keep our eye single and our body full of light there would be no darkness to confuse the just. The church has the light of the knowledge of the glory of the Lord and is built up on the everlasting Father, the First Born.

REVELATION 2:1-7

Unto the angel of

the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars;

And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and I will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

REVELATION 3:14-19

And unto the angel of the church of Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich: and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothes, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye-salve, that thou mayest see .

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

The First Redemptive Realm

The first level (see Illustration III), is represented by the church of Ephesus and the church of Laodicea. Jesus is the founding angel holding seven stars and walking in the midst as the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God. (He knew the nature of man in his lukewarm state judging his own condition by natural goods, allowing the carnal mind to cause a deviation from the first love.) This level of the church must be revived by times of refreshing to be restored from the fallen state of carnality or the Adam nature. The spirit counsels us to reach for gold tried in the fire and the anointing of the Holy Ghost (the eye-salve) which opens the spiritual eye. This repenting church that hates the same sin that the Lord hates is, regardless of our ups and downs or nakedness or blind eyes, still loved of God. He ministers, rebukes and chastens to brings repentance and restore zeal. As overcomers we are partaking of the Tree of Life which is in the midst of the paradise of God. As partakers we shall never die. The fruit of the Tree of Life builds the church to our second redemptive realm.

REVELATION 2:8-11

And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

REVELATION 3:7-13

And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it; for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

The Second Redemptive Realm

The angel of the Lord, the first and the last, which was dead and is alive, He that is holy, He that is true, He that hath the key of David, He that openeth and no man shutteth, and shutteth and no man openeth - the church in Smyrna and the church in Philadelphia represent this level of redemption (refer to Illustration IV, page 23). The church has come to a higher level of light. Our works, tribulation and poverty, stand out in the presence of a people leavened by sin and claiming to be Jews, but are in reality the synagogue of Satan. The false church is revealed at this level. Jesus instructs us to fear none of those things which thou shall suffer: behold the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. An open door is set before us in this level of the church. We have been strengthened by keeping his word and not denying His name. AThose of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not will come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.@

As this realm of His church walks in the word of His patience, they will be protected from the hour of temptation which tries them that dwell upon the earth.

In this same hour the church will be taught the correct response (see Luke 12:12). The Holy Ghost will perform this. Know that if a day is likened unto a thousand years an hour will span a generation.

This realm that has received the crown perceives, because of their spiritual authority, the nearness of Jesus. Jesus warns to hold fast to your place in Him, don=t let man (carnality) take your crown. As they walk through the open door they encounter the second death or the lake of fire. They were faithful to reach this door set before the church. The crown (gold tried in the fire) anchors them to a new identity or name that protects from the mark of the beast. The stage has been set for the final level of overcoming by the church of Pergamos, the church of Thyatira and the church of Sardis.

REVELATION 2:12-17

And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;

I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan=s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

REVELATION 2:18-29 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not know the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

And he that overcometh, and keepth my works unto the end, to him I will give power over the nations:

And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

And I will give him the morning star.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

REVELATION 3:1-6

And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

The Third Redemptive Realm

The angel of the Lord which hath the sharp sword with two edges and the seven spirits of God and the seven stars, the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass - this level of the church (see Illustration V, page 26) brings us to the fire which must try every man=s work. Every branch of the candlestick ends in Fire! AOur God is a consuming fire.@40 This realm has come to the full stature of the angel of the Lord. They are seeing the same vision that John saw. Their works are known along with their charity, service and faith, but their works are still not perfect. They have a name that thou livest and art dead. They are the Dead in Christ. They hold fast the name of Jesus and have not denied his faith. The presence of the Lord has revealed the seat of Satan, the murderer that slew the faithful martyr Antipas where Satan dwelleth. >Antipas= means the >likeness of his Father=. Satan has raised up Jezebel which calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce the Lord=s servants to commit spiritual fornication and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. She had been given space to repent of her fornication, and she repented not. The doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel along with the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, are present in this level of the church. There is a call for repentance as the church is judged and the roots of Jezebel and her seed are removed. The church has a remnant seed in Sardis, a remnant seed in Pergamos and a remnant seed in Thyatira. They honor the Lords name and faith. They have avoided the depths of Satan and are holding fast. They have not defiled their garments and they will walk with Jesus in white, for they are worthy. As they overcome, they receive the hidden manna and a white stone, and a new name written reserved for them. Their name is forever recorded in the book of life. Their father will cause the angels to acknowledge them. They have kept His works unto the end. The end is Jesus and He rewards the overcomer with power over the nations. They will share the authority of Jesus as they receive the bright morning star.

The Coming Lamb

The prophetic vision and instruction was given to the church. All that follows will reveal the fulfillment of this prophetic revelation, as the church fulfills her purpose in life by following the Lamb whithersoever He goeth. The overcoming church will have received:

* The right to eat of the Tree of Life

* Crown of life

* Victory over the second death

* A sure foundation (pillar)

* White raiment (righteousness)

* The hidden manna

* The white stone

* The recorded name

* Authority (power) over nations

* Rod of iron

* The morning star

* To sit in the throne in the thousand year day

(Revelation 3:20-22)

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

The door handle is always on our side of the door. Jesus will identify the door with his voice. We must open and we step through. Jesus gives us the bread and fish of His presence. For as we move from glory to glory in Him; we discover more of Him in us. His heavenly places are all in Him.
