CHAPTER V
Revelation 10:8 through 11:18
The Little Book
(Revelation 10:8-11)
And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
And I took the little book out of the angel
=s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
As we partake of the little open book, the eyes of our understanding are opened and we now realize our collective purpose in manifesting as God
=s sons. The word must be eaten and become a part of us before it becomes an anointed sword out of our mouths or a river flowing out of our belly. We can only give what we have received. The word Abitter@ in this scripture refers to a root word which relates to Apiercing@. The anointing will flow out of the church during the time of tribulation as we carry our crosses, even as He carried his, to the mountain top. The piercing from within will release an outpouring, even as His side was first pierced. The blood and the water of the word that comes from this wound in the Lamb (the Body of Christ) will become a voice of fire prophetic to many people, nations, tongues and kings. As this Body witnesses the world will hear.
The Two Witnesses
(Revelation 11:1-6)
And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
As the church walks out her judgment and receives the final anointing, we will have
Acome in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.@1 We are the temple of Christ, and as we come to the measure of His likeness we will witness with our Father and our works.
Jesus said that
Ain the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.@2 He also said, AI have a greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father has sent me. And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me.@3 As the spirit in us is poured out as water and blood, we become a full witness in the earth with our Father, which is the word and the Holy Ghost (see 1 John 5:6-8). AHe that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself.@4 The two witnesses are Christ IN his many-membered body of overcomers.
Zechariah had seen the
Atwo olive trees. . . one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.@5 These two trees, symbolic of the anointing, stood beside the golden candlestick with pipes to the fire upon it. The angel revealed this anointing as the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, Asaying, not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.@ 6 Zerubbabel was ordained by the Lord to build, Athe hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it.@7
The prophet Haggai speaking the word of the Lord, said,
Ayet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the Lord; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the Lord, and work: for I am with you, saith the Lord of hosts: According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not. For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts. The glory of the latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.@8Joshua which means
Asaviour@, the high priest and Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, the governor of Judah, represent the anointing that labors with the branch. Jesus said, AI am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me (Awithout@ means Asevered from@) ye can do nothing.@9
Zechariah prophesied,
Abehold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord: Even he shall build the temple of the Lord; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both. And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the Lord. And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the Lord, and ye shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God.@10 Helem means the Arobust of the Lord@, Tobijah is the Adistinguished of the Lord@, Hen relates to the Agrace of God@ and Jedaiah has a double meaning of the Aknown of the Lord@ and Athose who praise the Lord.@ These are all attributes of the victorious church, branch, Lamb, stone with seven eyes, latter house, signet of the chosen and the Body of Christ. The anointing of the wall of this latter house will flow from the Lamb as a Awall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.@11 As Zion delivers herself from the nature of Babylon, the outer court will fill up with those who had not made a covenant with Jesus (the Gentiles). This times and time and half a time or a thousand two hundred and three score days will usher in the great revival that the church has prayed for. Those of the outer court who have not come to the full measure, will try to find in their realm, the outer court, the anointing that covers the nature of man (the gold tried in the fire). As the church manifests this witness of glory, the old heaven is passed away even, Aas a scroll when it is rolled together.@12 The old order is loosed along with the bondages imposed till full reformation, the high ways are closed, the power of darkness is cast out as the church looses and binds in the anointing of their testimony. The church with their rod of iron will minister in the authority of Moses and the authority of Elijah as they prophesy of their oneness with the Lamb. They carry their crosses Awithout the gate.@13 Because of the fire of their anointing, the beast and his army can only raise up against them as they complete their high calling. These witnesses will have come to the head of the highway. AThy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the Lord, the rebuke of thy God. Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine: Thus saith thy Lord the Lord, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again: But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.@14
The witnesses have had the power to smite the earth with all plagues. They could have shut off the heavenly rain, but they chose righteous judgement instead of righteous wrath. They have laid down their lives for their neighbors. They have born their cross to the midst of Babylon, choosing that to die for Jesus is greater gain than the prosperity of the world.
(Revelation 11:8-14)
And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
The church has come to the last enemy that must be placed under her feet. The Lord
Amust reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.@15 ABehold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.@16 The church has drank the cup of the Lord. The prophecy of their master that Aye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.@17 This continuing baptism,(I am is present tense), has lead the righteous church to the final cup. Jesus had instructed Awatch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.@18 His presence allows the cup to be drank, AO my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.@19
The Body has become full of light as the spirit of life changes the corruptible into incorruptible. The eye twinkles with this life. The feet have been born signifying the full birth of the church. The travail is complete. The last enemy is defeated. The mystery is finished. The captain has been made perfect. The body of overcomers have brought the Christ to the Lord. The righteous Lamb raises up into the full anointing as all creation, (the cloud of witnesses), glorify the manifestation of the sons of God. Their feet shake the earth in a great quaking. Every shaken name that has exalted itself against God will fall. The religions of the world with their man made promises fall before the Lord and his Christ. Godly fear causes the remnant to give glory to the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings.
(Revelation 11:15-18)
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God.
Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
When the seventh angel sounds, the millennium reign is declared. The Lord is come to be one with the Lamb. The wife, in her role as Lamb, welcomes the Lord to her temple as they will reign forever ( a time determined of God) and ever (an additional time reserved for final judgement).
As Jesus rewards his church, the prophets and saints, both small and great which fear his name, will share his throne. They will rule with him for a thousand years, as measured by man. It will be the
Aday of the Lord@ measured by Spirit. This concludes the front side of the pattern of God=s will. The scroll is a book written within and on the backside. What the Lamb has loosed in earth is loosed in heaven and what the Lamb looses in Heaven is loosed in the earth.
