CHAPTER VI
Revelation 11:19 through 13:18
The Opened Temple
(Revelation 11:19 and 12:1-5)
And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
John witnessed the temple of God opened, which is the throne realm of God. This throne dominion is a spiritual place as revealed by Isaiah,
Athus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?@1 This same verse is quoted in Acts 7:49 revealing by the last sermon of Stephen that Athe most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands.@2 Stephen Abeing full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing on the right hand of God. And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.@3
Stephen and John were able by the Holy Ghost to look into the throne realm of God. Stephen was seeing the standing Christ and the sitting Lord, while John had revealed that the
Akingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ.@4 The where of this spiritual or heavenly place, John referred to with an earth quake and great hail. Earthquakes and hail are conditions at an earthly level. The temple of God is his spiritual church.
Jeremiah had spoken,
Aturn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion: And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the Lord, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the Lord: neither shall it come to mind (Hebrew for Aheart@): neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more. At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the Lord; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem; neither shall they walk any more after the imagination (Hebrew for Astubbornness@) of their evil heart.@5 John along with Jeremiah was revealing the married church, the Jerusalem which cometh from above and is the mother of us all, as she brings forth her children to the full birth of the nature, name, and likeness of their Father. Jesus had said ye must be born again, which means you must be regenerated from the Father above. Isaiah in speaking of this event said, Alet the Lord be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed. A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the Lord that rendereth recompense to his enemies. Before she travailed, she brought forth: before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.@6 The man child are one in nature, but many in number. These are the overcomers of Revelation 2:26-27 who came to the full witness in Revelation 11:12 and are called up to a higher realm in Jerusalem, the place of the throne.
Malachi, in speaking of this time said,
Afor, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.@7 The church, clothed with the Sun of righteousness, will give birth to the feet, the lowliest member, that will bring the cleansing fire that redeems the Body. This anointing in the spirit of Elijah and the spirit of Moses will usher in the angelic judgement of I Corinthians 6:3. The Aopposition@, the red dragon whose tail drew one third of the stars of heaven to the earth, has fought this manifestation of the sons of God for two thousand years. The words of his judgement were given to John to declare Abefore many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.@8
Daniel revealed a dream that had escaped the mind of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, regarding
Aa great image, whose brightness was excellent@ and stood before him, Aand the form thereof was terrible.@9 This image out of the mind of the AKing of Babylon@ would fill the earth till the time that the feet were manifest. AAnd as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken (Hebrew for Abrittle@). And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.@ The >ten horns of the dragon= are the prophesied toes of Daniel=s day. As the dragon produces his seed they will be the counterfeit of the righteous seed, brought forth by the church. The feet represent the full birth of the tares and the wheat. We will see the Aopen temple@ reveal the contention and the victory of the church which is the Atemple of the Holy Ghost.@
(Revelation 12:6-11)
And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
As the church reaches the level of salvation brought forth by her man child, she enters full redemption, for by bringing forth the Christ she has brought forth herself.
AAdam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.@11 The manifestation of the sons of God (the man child) is the signal (the final trump) for the two battles ordained of God to manifest Jesus as BOTH Lord and Christ.
The original deceiver
Athat old serpent@ is cast out of his spiritual dominion as the woman cleanses herself of all filthiness of the spirit. The ministering spirits (angels) bind and cast out all tares (the serpent seed) to the realm of the earth. The church of overcomers have carried the blood of the Lamb by esteeming his life greater than their life to the dominion of death. The last enemy is engaged by the church. Renewed by the mind of Christ, there is no longer any dead in Christ. All death is cast out of his dominion. AFor the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.@12 Paul had revealed that Awho shall descend into the deep?@, that is to bring up Christ again from the dead. The word Adeep@ in this scripture is the Greek word AABUSSOS@, which is the same word used for Abottomless@ in the scriptures of Revelation.
(Revelation 12:12-17)
Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
The heavens rejoice as this testimony is received. The word at the head level is sweet as honey, but will be bitter at the belly. The dragon will cause great wrath to those of the earth and of the sea, unsealed by the name of the Lord. The liberty of Satan is short, defined as a time, and times, and half a time. The church given the anointing of the symbolic
Agreat eagle@ will rise above the storm. God told Moses Aye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles= wings, and brought you unto myself. Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people; for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.@13 The wings are the Lord bringing the church into His nature, which has been the treasure carried in earthen vessels in the world, but not of the world. AThe fourth beast was like a flying eagle@14 which ushered the unsealing of the fourth seal that revealed the ministry of contention represented by the pale (green) horse against death and hell. Jesus promised that Awheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.@15
To go into the wilderness was revealed by Jesus as a time of temptation (see Luke 4:1-13). The church will be tried for a time, and times, and half a time, but God will supply through the overcomers, manna power against the strong delusion rising in the sea and in the earth. The church with the remnant of her seed, stands up with the testimony of Jesus Christ, knowing that the meek will inherit the earth. The word
Aremnant@ in the Greek is ALOIPOY@ which means Athose that remain@ or those that Arest@! Remaining in the earth realm has required a church able to manifest the presence of Jesus in flaming fire. Paul in speaking of this time Aand to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.@16 John will write Ablessed are the dead which die in the Lord@17, revealing these that stand keeping Athe commandments of God and the faith of Jesus@.18
The First Beast
(Revelation 13:1-9)
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
If any man have an ear, let him hear.
Out of the sea of unredeemed humanity we see the dragons effort to produce the counterfeit church. The feet, ten horns, stand by his authority (crowns) while his mouth roars as a lion from the heads of blasphemy. He looks like a lion but he is blemished (spotted) as a leopard. He sounds like a lion but he walks like a bear. He represents the leavening of all religion
Ahaving a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.@19 This is the carnal mind, the seat of exaltation, pride and vanity. It had died, in a measure, when first encountering the rolled away stone following Calvary. But it had reasoned itself away from the power of the blood, relying on form, fashion and government to present as both good and evil to the ever learning mountain of unrighteousness. He denies the marriage of the Lamb, declaring it to be some future event. He denies the meek inheriting the earth with his escape doctrines. He blasphemes the present tense of Jesus as he declares only the past and future tense of the Lord. Calling himself the church, he has overcome many saints and martyrs, while presenting an outward appearance of righteousness. He has many proselytes who believe in a divided God head, as he points to the flesh to measure the spirit. He will raise up his own Christ out of the flesh of those not sealed in the book of life of the Lamb.
The Second Beast
(Revelation 13:10-18)
He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
A
Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.@20 This cleansing, as prophesied by Isaiah, will be accomplished with the spirit of judgement and the spirit of burning. AFor the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?@21 As the church is being judged by the presence of the Lord, torment will come upon those who have mislead God=s children and abused the letter for personal intent. As the tares of form and fashion are removed the church must be patient as every man=s work will be tried at this time. Only faith founded on truth and working by love will stand during these days.
As the second beast rises up in the earth realm imitating the Lamb, many will be fooled because of the wonders done in view of the natural eye. The natural minded will be stunned by the plague of scorpions that make up the Anti-Christ. As this strong delusion begins its work, it will present itself as a united front to restore the purpose of the first beast. Many will call themselves prophets and say Lord, Lord as this false anointing brings a pleasure in unrighteousness. A spirit of exaltation will cause many to stumble as they witness to this power that they identify as the
>Holy Ghost=. This son of perdition Awho opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.@22 This beast, Awhose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.@23 Man will worship man, as many follow their natural eyes and believe lying wonders. As this anointing exalts the flesh, misguided faith will build an image to the likeness of man, they believe themselves to be God=s chosen, because of the works of their flesh. They will exhort their standards as the one church. They will point to their way or death. >Our heaven or hell= will be their cry. The unrighteous image will receive life (which is Abreath@ in the Greek) believing and calling their anointing the God given Holy Ghost. The natural influence of this false church will seek to control governments with a united influence upon the deceived as to what they can buy or sell. As the ten toes of this image is magnified to the ten levels of authority represented by the ten horns and the ten crowns, those who operate in this anointing or fellowship (the ministry of the hand) will touch many (the deceived) and be counted as a measure of the beast.
The first image of the king of Babylon was set up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon around 600 BC. Its height was threescore cubits, and the breath was six cubits (see Daniel 3:1). When this measure of image is magnified to its fullness you see the ten times threescore and six. Those who won
=t worship the image will be untouched by the spiritual fire. The righteous, sealed of God, will have his presence protecting them. They will be made free of all bondage. Isaiah prophesied of this time saying, Awhen thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.@24
