Jesus, when commissioning the disciples, before sending them forth two and two to the cities whither He himself would come, gave them these instructions, "The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it; if not, it shall turn to you again. And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding, be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city."¹ The disciples were first to speak peace, then to speak the kingdom of God is come to those that receive you and to those that receive you not. But Jesus warns of a fire to those that haven’t received His ministry at the time of judgement. Jesus said, "For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind."²

   Peter revealed that the Lord’s "judgement must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?"³ Individually, we are the household of God. The Jesus within each member of His church is judged by His presence. "Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?"⁴ To be ‘reprobate’ is to be without judgement. We are individually judged by the presence of Jesus in spirit. "Now the Lord is that Spirit."⁵ "They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate."⁶ The church corporately shall also be judged and this judgement, prophesied by Isaiah was "Therefore saith the Lord, the Lord of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies. And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin: And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city. Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness. And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the Lord shall be consumed."⁷ These of the church, called as counsellors and judges, will work with the presence of Jesus to cleanse transgressors and sinners with the anointing of Fire. "When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning."⁸ This holy cleansing will remain as a signal to the world, declaring the presence of God. For the church will be the gold tried in the fire.

   "And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon (means ‘above’ in Hebrew) all the glory shall be a defense (means ‘covering’ in Hebrew). And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and rain."⁹ Our judge is also our refuge, the ark of the Spirit. This ark will carry us through the tribulation that comes upon the worldly. "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding, in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight."¹⁰ This revelation has been hid from the wise and the prudent. Tradition doesn’t want to walk among snakes and scorpions and to tread over all the power of the enemy. Even knowing the promise of God that nothing shall by any means hurt you. Maybe if they understood that Jesus as Lord must sit on the throne till every enemy is under foot and that WE ARE THE FEET. The last enemy is death. Someone in His church must cast death into the second death. Jesus rejoiced in spirit because this is a recorded promise of God. These natures (names) are written. Heaven and earth may pass away, but the word will endure forever. Not only will the true church pass through the tribulation, they will be the tribulation. "For then shall be great tribulations, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be."¹¹

   There has been many times of trouble in the world, many wars, trials and tribulations; but, the world has never seen the judgement of the living God. "And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before."¹² Many believing the elect to be the remnant Jews, have dismissed these scriptures as not directed to themselves. A study of Romans 8:33, Colossians 3:12, I Peter 1:2 and Mark 13:20, should clear up this misconception. The presence of the Lord plainly is the source of vengeance, prophesied by the prophets. "When the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power."¹³ Jesus is sharing this glory with his saints, as was spoken in Psalm 149, "To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord."¹⁴ And when is Jesus to be revealed? "When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day."¹⁵

   His household, in the earth, has become a living ark, built by a living carpenter and his name is Jesus. This ark, called a mansion by one translator, will carry the called through this time to fulfil the purpose of God. The ministry that began this walk with Jesus, will complete this walk with Jesus. "Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power; That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ."¹⁶

   As this anointing is revealing and destroying the enemy "even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved."¹⁷ "Jesus is the way, the truth and the life."¹⁸ The present tense of the word is, separates the sheep from the goats. For "every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."¹⁹ Only the present tense of Jesus will usher us through this day that has come.

He who hath an ear to hear, let him hear.
